Welcome to the Dibert Webpages!

We are committed to preparing our children to be responsible, disciplined learners and to reach their highest potential as world citizens.

Our philosophy and program reflect a child-centered approach. Our educational goals stress cognitive, affective, social, physical and aesthetic development. The school environment must contain a wide variety of relevant and creative learning opportunities where processing is as important as product, where the child takes responsibility for his/her actions, where teachers have open access to each other, where parents become actively and concretely involved in the learning process, and where business partners and community organizations and channel their support.

Dibert School is located in New Orleans near the Bayou St. John, the original route between the French Quarter on the Mississippi River and Lake Pontchartrain.

1. To implement Louisiana State Standards;
   
   
2. To prepare for new Iowa Basic Skills Test;
   
   
3. To implement the new exemplary science and mathematics programs;
   
   
4. To prepare ten-year SACS self-study;
   
   
5. To develop school-wide strategies for helping students with persistent academic and/or behavioral problems;
   
   
6. To improve parental outreach, communication and involvement in our school;
