EDCI 6755 Content Applications of Instructional Strategies

Over-view of instructional strategies as they pertain to content areas and research on the effective teaching of content. Emphasis on implementation of lesson design and assessment of content instruction and classroom management practices.

Course Instructor: Roger DeSanti, Ph.D., Professor of Curriculum & Instruction, University of New Orleans.

Credits: 3 graduate credits.

Fee: Approximately: $825.00 for out-of-state and $605.00 for in-state in addition to the conference registration fees.

Course Requirements: Register for, attend, and participate in two conference courses. Maintain and submit a portfolio containing the following: Notes and work completed for the two courses. The notes and work should reflect mastery of the course objectives. Documentation of four (4) implementation strategies for potential utilization of conference materials in your instructional setting. Participation in on-line discussion group.
