GEOMETRY :  RESEARCH PROJECT

1.  Research a famous mathematician from the list in class and write a 2-3 page report. The report should include information on the mathematician's life, education, and contribution to mathematics.  Included in your research paper, but not in the 2-3 page report should be a bibliography page.  On this page list the references that you used to research your mathematician.  Complete this page following APA guidelines.  You must include one book in your references.  You must have at least 3 references.
2.  Present an oral presentation on the mathemtician that you researched.  You must include some type of visual with your presentation.  A visual can be a drawing of the mathematican, a poster illustrating a mathematical concept, or anything else that will help the other students understand your mathematician.
3.  Below are a few links to biographical information of mathematicians on the internet.  These are not the only resources that you should use.  You should also visit the library for some information.
4.  DUE DATE:  The written project is due Monday, May 10, 1999.
The presentations begin on Friday May 14, 1999.
