Welcome
to the Human Performance and Health Promotion (HPHP) department
in the College of Education and Human Development at the University
of New Orleans. HPHP is a multidisciplinary department encompassing
studies and programs in human performance areas such as exercise
physiology, kinesiology, physical education, psychosocial aspects
of sport, and sport management; and studies in health promotion
areas such as epidemiology, sexuality, and substance abuse.We provide
students with a wide-range of activities including professional
preparation programs, clinical and practica experiences, applied
and basic research opportunities, and current and advanced technologies
in both the classroom and in our teaching laboratories.
The HPHP department
strives to provide both undergraduate and graduate students with
diverse experiences through hands-on classroom activities, guest
speakers, internships/practica and others through voluntary participation
in the HP2 club. We
