Welcome to the Human Performance and Health Promotion (HPHP) department in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of New Orleans. HPHP is a multidisciplinary department encompassing studies and programs in human performance areas such as exercise physiology, kinesiology, physical education, psychosocial aspects of sport, and sport management; and studies in health promotion areas such as epidemiology, sexuality, and substance abuse. We provide students with a wide-range of activities including professional preparation programs, clinical and practica experiences, applied and basic research opportunities, and current and advanced technologies in both the classroom and in our teaching laboratories.

The HPHP department strives to provide both undergraduate and graduate students with diverse experiences through hands-on classroom activities, guest speakers, internships/practica and others through voluntary participation in the HP2 club. We hope your visit to our website is informative and helpful. Should you have any questions regarding our programs, facilities, or anything else, please contact our office at 504-280-6361 for additional information. You may also stop by the office if you prefer; we are located in Room 109 of the Human Performance Center on the Lakefront Campus.
